David Edelstein - Keynote Address

You've read his articles and listen to him talk about movies over the radio for years.  For the first time, the Lone Star Film Society welcomes national film critic, David Edelstein to Fort Worth.  Join us Saturday morning, as Mr. Edelstein will present the weekend's keynote address.

BIOGRAPHY

David Edelstein is the chief film critic for New York Magazine, as well as the film critic for NPR's Fresh Air and CBS’s Sunday Morning.

Edelstein has contributed movie reviews and articles to many publications, including New York Post, The Village Voice, The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, Variety and Esquire.

He is a member of the National Society of Film Critics.

Edelstein co-authored the book, “Shooting to Kill: How an Independent Producer Blasts Through the Barriers to Make Movies that Matter”, with producer Christine Vachon of Killer Films.

Filmmaker and founder of the Hill Country Film Festival in Fredericksburg, TX, Chad Mathews joined the LSFF team in 2015 as the organization's film society and festival director. Having worked as a screenwriter, actor and director, Chad spent 15 years in Los Angeles before moving back to Texas to pursue a career in the film festival world.
